Island Oasis DSP

I had scheduled this post for yesterday but I noticed today that it never posted so my apologies for that. But now that I'm here I will also let you know that my video for this week will be a tutorial on Colour Embossing and it will be ready on Saturday.
Also, the countdown is on to the new catalogue with less than a week until it goes live and only 3 weeks until my launch party, Summer Fiesta! The catalogues started arriving at my house yesterday with another box coming in today and I will start creating samples as soon as I place my order....around 12:01 am on July 1st I'm sure. :)

Anyways, as promised here are two of the coordinating cards I created to go with the Island Oasis 12x12 box. I'm loving this paper, it just screams summer and fun! It also makes me realize how much I could use a tropical vacation.....*sigh*

12 x 12 Box Video Tutorial

So I finally figured out how to embed the video into my post and it was really ridiculously easy. Here is the tutorial I promised you on how to create the 12x12 Card or Gift box from several days ago. I'll be back tomorrow to show you some of the coordinating cards I created to go with it.

Mojo Monday 144

Welcome to another fabulous Monday....are you ready to kick start your mojo? The sketch this week is, as usual, gorgeous and I am loving the card I got out of it. I'm running short on time today since I have a sick little boy so I literally ran downstairs and this just came out...lucky, eh? It's simple but it's so elegant and it's actually the first card I've made with the Elements of Style stamp set. It's an absolutely stunning set and *spoiler alert* made it into the next catalogue!

Here's the sketch....have fun!

12x12 Box

This is a box I have made and posted previously but I wanted to add it in here today as I am filming a video on how to make this box. It will (hopefully) post tomorrow! It's so easy and fast but makes a great gift for someone when you add in some coordinating cards and envelopes.

Please excuse the horridness of this particular box and the picture quality. I think I made this when I had been a demonstrator for about a month and had a lot to learn, lol! I promise you will see a big difference between this one and the one in the video so stay tuned! :)

Mojo Monday 143

Happy Monday to all! Hope your weekend was fabulous and you're ready for another fun week of stamping and scrapping. The countdown is on to the release of the new catalogue and I'll have a few more sneak peeks for you this week but right now it's time to get your Mojo on! The minute I saw this sketch I knew where I wanted to go with it and I love it!!

I've used two new items on this card, the returning Marina Mist colour in both the cardstock and the ribbon. The ribbon is a very narrow tafetta with white trim....so pretty!
Here is the sketch so go have some fun. And remember, this is just to get you started so put your own twist on it and make it your own!

New Catalogue Sneak Peek!

I have to confess that my children were somewhat neglected yesterday. I know, it's awful!! But my new catalogue was begging to be read and what is a stampaholic to do? Here is my verdict on the catalogue: TOO AWESOME FOR WORDS!! The whole thing is stunning and so beautiful to look through. It's laid out so well and the samples are so creative.

Here is a sample I've created using a Level 1 Hostess set, new DSP (this pack is super cool!), cardstock in one of the new core colours, newly designed taffeta ribbon, and a new embossing folder.

In the 4 years that I have been using Stampin' Up! products this is by far the best catalogue I have ever seen. Here are some of my favourites:
  • The accessories are to die for! You won't believe all the amazing new things they have added....especially in the ribbon.
  • The Designer Series Paper packages are killer! I seriously want one of each...the colour renovation really gave Stampin' Up! the opportunity to make the DSP stunning and they totally pulled it off.
  • PRICES!!! Many of the prices on things have gone down, most noticeably on tools and stamp sets. Yeah, I know....more for less, how awesome is that?
  • Punches.....omg, 2 pages of them. 'Nuff said!

And VERY importantly, the Hostess sets are rockin'! So many more to choose from and they are so cool! Get your workshops booked because you're going to want every single one.
