Special Offer!

Christmas is on it's way! Yes, yes, I know, you don't want to hear about it. ;) BUT if it's the gift buying and giving that is stressing you out, never fear!

I am offering something very special, a 12 Weeks of Christmas mailing where every week from October 6th until Christmas you will receive an email with 3 different project ideas. One card idea, an altered object that can be used as a gift and an idea for packaging and wrapping your projects. The emails will all include a picture, a full product list and complete detailed instructions for each project.

There is a catch though: to receive this email you must be on my mailing list. If you haven't subscribed to it use the button on the top left to do so now! This is a completely free subscription.

Today is a good day!

I am off to the spa this morning for a pre-wedding relaxation time with the bride-to-be! On the agenda? A 1 hour massage (ahhh!), a manicure and pedicure and then full spa lunch. Be still my heart! Tending to three little boys and one big boy 7 days a week takes a toll and I am looking forward to this like you would not believe!

I wanted to leave you with a card though and this one is special. My chef brother in law has been staying with us (hence the extra 5 lbs I'm carrying around lately!) and he wanted to make a card for our cousin on her birthday.

Let me preface this by saying that I did nothing but show him how to use the tools he needed to make this card. The colours, design, layout, etc. were all his ideas! Check it out:

On the inside, he made this cool tag. We attached it to the card by just looping the linen thread around the vintage brad. This way, the recipient can take it off and keep it as a bookmark without ruining the card.

Is this boy talented or what?! I tried to tell him that there are other guys out there doing what I do and sign him up but he was unconvinced. ;)

Have a fantastic day!

Oh baby, let's Mojo!

Happy Monday everyone, I hope you had as fabulous a weekend as I did! Friday night I hosted a bachelorette party for my soon to be sister in law, went to bed and woke up 3 hours later to head off to the Stampin' Up! regionals in Hamilton. Had a BLAST there and then spent yesterday eating the most delicious cookies ever made thanks to my brother in law the chef. Then it was off to the rehearsal and delicious dinner for the wedding this weekend But wow, I am t-i-r-e-d today!

Anyways, on to the good stuff! It's Monday and that means I am forced to make a card by the time the day is over so here it is:

I have been wanting to use this new stamp set Baby Bundle ever since I got it but hadn't pulled it out yet so this seemed like the perfect opportunity. I love this sketch (as usual) and that always makes it so easy for the card to come together.

The base is Marina Mist cut at 5 1/2 x 11 to make a larger card than usual. I used Pear Pizzazz with the coordinating DSP and also Pretty In Pink for the layers. How totally adorable is that image?! Clear mount stamps make it super easy for you to line up all your images and get this collage of stamps that looks so amazing. I coloured the images with my Stampin' Write markers and I'm thrilled with the way it came out. The little hearts at the bottom were stamped and then punched out with small heart punch. I raised them up with dimensionals for some...well, dimension! :) The ribbon is Marina Mist and I 'heart' it so much!

Stamps: Baby Bundle (120576), Teeny Tiny Wishes (115370) Paper: Marina Mist (119682), Pear Pizzazz (119795), Pear Pizzazz DSP (117158), Pretty in Pink (100459) Ink: Stampin' Write Markers in Marina Mist (119679), Certainly Celery (105106), Pretty in Pink (100045) Cool Tools: Paper Piercer (116631), Mat Pack (105826), Small Heart punch (117193) Embellishments: 1 1/4" ribbon (119772)

Beautiful Because I Care

I wanted to show you another of the cards I made during my "me stamping" time a few days ago. Again, I used my colour coach to get this combination of Perfect Plum, Wild Wasabi and So Saffron. The softness of the colours on this card together with the gorgeous image make it so pretty.

I've been playing with ribbon a lot and really enjoying all the different ways to use it. I've had some questions on how to make the ribbon look like this and also on the card from two days ago where I used the crochet ribbon. I will try to make a video on some ribbon tricks in the next few days but no promises because from now to the end of this month I am swamped!

The Hamilton Regional is tomorrow and I am wicked excited to be heading out there tomorrow with my upline! I think the thing I am most looking forward to is just being in a huge room with so many other people who share my love for stamping and papercrafting and feeling the energy. I have my swaps all ready to go and boy am I glad those are finished! I did 75 card fronts to swap and it was A LOT of work but I'm looking forward to all the new fronts I'll get from other very talented demos.

I'll be back on Monday so get ready to MOJO because I haven't in a while and I am raring to go!!

Special Stampers

Today I wanted to share with you a couple of cards made by some of my fabulous club ladies! I like to make sure they are using all their Stampin' Up! product and being creative outside of clubs and classes so I asked everyone to bring a card they had made to the last club meeting. Not everyone was able to attend so here are the ones that participated.

I'm Stamping!

It's like a miracle! Life has been so hectic lately with both Stampin' Up! related events and family life. Skyeler started school 2 weeks ago so that's been an interesting new addition to my schedule but he loves it so it's all good! Here is a picture of Skye on his first day...he was so excited!

The past few weeks have held a lot of fun things as well including club night, my 1st Annual Hostess Appreciation party, classes, workshops and more. I have pictures from some of these and I'll post them over the next few days.

Between prepping for my upcoming workshops and a 3 day craft show (yikes!) I haven't had any time for "me" stamping. You know where you just sit down and make a card because you feel like it? But I did that on Monday and I made quite a few! Here is my favourite one of the day. I've really been using my colour coach and experimenting with colours that I don't use often....or to be more honest in this case, never use! This is Crumb Cake which is a fave with Bravo Burgundy and More Mustard. WHAT?! But it's so pretty! Guess that's why the make the colour coach because I would have never put those all together. I love the way it turned out. This is the Level Two hostess set Apple Blossoms which you can earn by hosting a workshop and I have been dying to break it open and use it because there are so many cute and unique images in it.

Well, I'm heading back down to my stamping studio to finish up my swaps for the Hamilton Regionals this Saturday. I've been waiting for the new Spider Web embossing folder to arrive and my man in brown just dropped it off so I can finally get them all done!

Stamps: Apple Blossoms (Hostess only) Ink: More Mustard (103162), Whisper White Craft (101731), Black Staz-On (101406)
Paper: Crumb Cake (120953), More Mustard (100946), Bravo Burgundy (105123), Confetti Cream (102835) Cool Tools: Scallop Trim Border punch (118402) Embellishments: Chantilly Crochet Trim (118480), Designer Buttons (119747), Linen Thread (104199)
